A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard i want to work, and i decided i would change it." - Dr. Ben Carson

Dr. Ben Carson in my opinion is a great man, I have been aboard with him on his journey of being a neurosurgeon and have always been impressed with his work and what he has accomplished. Now he is a retired neurosurgeon and a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Each individual is born into a life they have no choice in, it is up to them to then find ways of changing anything they do not like in their lifestyle. For one poverty, i believe that no one is a fan of poverty and no one would enjoy living a life like that therefore it is in their hands to find a way into changing and evolving from that. Dr. Ben Carson has a point, he claims he hated reading books as a young boy but he soon then discovered that books were his key and way into becoming more intelligent, he as many others realized that reading books is feeding yourself with knowledge, and who does not love a good book? He knew that he had the power in his hands to change anything he did not approve about his life, and with this we hope many others realize that they have the same power in theirs. The journey to your new life is difficult and no one will tell you otherwise, but the outcome will be great for you and those who you choose to surround you.
